Property Highlights Albert, Texas is a historic destination located in the rich German farmlands of the Texas Hill Country, just 20 miles East of Fredericksburg. The small town sits adjacent to the ever flowing Williams Creek and provides 13 acres of grass lands with abundant pecan trees and a vast array of native wildflowers. The town also has an old rock schoolhouse that President Lyndon Baines Johnson attended in 1920 as a young boy. The schoolhouse belongs to the Gillespie County Community, but can be easily rented for any family or social occasion. The 100+ year old Albert Dance Hall remains intact and can be toured at any time. The Albert Ice House is newly renovated and is situated just off the highway under two magnificent 500 year old live oaks. The large back patio and beer garden can accommodate well over 500 people, offering daily and nightly live music, an endless breeze, campfires and the biggest picnic tables in Texas. The old Albert fruit stand has been remodeled into a large covered pavilion, complete with an outdoor stage and plenty of picnic table seating. The old goat pin just adjacent to the highway has been converted into a large private fenced-in area, dedicated to our biker friends. We call this the “Iron Horse Corral”. This separated and fenced off area provides an excellent location for festival vendors and food stands. There is always ample parking in Albert and plenty of overnight accommodations just a few miles away. We have access to 14 clean and inexpensive rooms at the Stonewall Motel. Please call our friend Becky @ 830.644.2661 in advanced for reservations. As the hill country is a popular destination, please book all overnight reservations in advance. For other nearby overnight accommodations, visit surrounding area Chamber of Commerce websites:
