Albert, Texas, is alive and well and embarks on a new
chapter in the history of this little Texas town! The
historical hamlet – next to Williams Creek in the rich
German farmlands of the Texas Hill Country, 20 miles
east of Fredericksburg – has been purchased
lock-stock-and-barrel by the native Texan Easley family
who are committed to Hill Country traditions. Town
manager, Brandon Easley, and the rest of the family aim
to care take its 13 acres of grasslands, abundant pecan
trees and vast array of wildflowers, but they’re up to
lots more! |

The newly renovated Albert Ice House, just off RR 1623,
almost dead set in the middle of the Lone Star State, is
open 4 days a week, offering ice-cold beer, live music,
big-screen HDTV and barbecue with all the trimmings by
Riley’s Bar-B-Q. Albert’s friends are locals who gather
there after work and travelers who stop in and gather
either in the Ice House, or outside under two ancient
live oaks in the large patio-beer garden, with the
biggest picnic tables in Texas that can accommodate
hundreds of guests for dominoes, horseshoes, washers,
endless fresh air and campfires in the stone fire pit.
